President Barzani, Jordanian top officials pledge deeper cooperation

Shafaq News/ On Sunday, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Deputy Prime Minister Ayman al-Safadi in Amman, during an official visit, to discuss strengthening cooperation in political, economic, and security sectors.
According to a statement by the Kurdish presidency, Barzani and King Abdullah discussed recent regional developments and agreed on the necessity of joint efforts to ensure peace and stability, addressing a range of shared concerns.

The Kurdish President also held separate talks with al-Safadi, focusing on expanding partnerships between Jordan, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region across multiple sectors, as well as addressing broader regional and international issues.
Barzani praised the strong relationship between Kurdistan, Iraq, and Jordan, commending Jordan’s leadership role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Al-Safadi, in turn, welcomed Barzani’s visit, reiterating Jordan’s commitment to deepening strategic cooperation with both Iraq and the Region.
